Giants no longer appear to humans.

A legend says that they wanted to leave earth to humans and crawled up to the moon and stayed there. On the other hand they may be extinct because they smoked too much tobacco.

They have shaped the land we live on without knowing it. Some hills are just sand form giants shoes, others – ashes from their pipes. They have cried to make lakes appear and plowed ways for the rivers to flow. Giant Neringa took the sand to the sea in her skirt and made Couronian spit. Barrows in many lands are still called hills where giants lay berried.
